A Branch network is so important to the Landscape profession, for various reasons – ranging from fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, support and development.  It is therefore essential that the operational framework is reviewed to ensure value and relevance, but at the same time managing the volunteer resource and expectations.

A review of the LI Branch structure was requested by the Board of Trustees early in 2023.  Consultations and the views of members have been sought in various forums. We are now inviting all members to have a say by participating in a short survey.

Following the review, members working in partnership with LI staff, will create a local member engagement model which demonstrates greater flexibility and pertinence to the profession. Volunteer time is limited now more than ever, so we need to demonstrate impact, fulfil needs, and provide opportunities in a smarter way.

Local Member engagement is essential, contributing to the growth and sustainability of the Institute. This is achieved through active participation, providing feedback, innovation and knowledge sharing. We hope you can be part of the change.

If you’re a member and you’d like to have your say, be sure to respond to the survey through the email invitation that was sent yesterday (Mon 25 March).
