The Landscape Research Group (LRG) has introduced a new initiative to support ongoing interdisciplinary work and exchange within landscape.

The Landscape Research Networks will connect landscape practitioners spanning various professional backgrounds, bounded by geographical region or theme. These channels offer practitioners regular opportunities to exchange and forge partnerships ‘on the ground,’ and help further landscape thinking in that region as a ‘hub.’

The LRG wishes to support research that contributes particularly towards greater justice and sustainability. The Group believes that through connecting local and regional networks of practitioners are a tangible way to:

  • Facilitate exchange
  • Promote an interdisciplinary, and ‘landscape’ approach to the complex issues we face
  • Provide a visible space for interdisciplinary landscape work in that region

The LRG will welcome expressions of interest for networks on an annual basis, and will provide a small amount of funding to realised networks for the subsequent 3 years.
