A new digital home for the Landscape Institute

Supporting your professional journey

The new digital home for LI members is launching on 10 November 2025.

The new system will enable the LI to support members through their full career journey with bespoke support. It will include a suite of digital services tailored to individual members interests, covering CPD, events, the jobsite and ways to engage with other members.

This page is where you’ll find everything you need to navigate the transition to your new website and tailored member platform, My LI. Here, you can learn what’s changing and what you need to do, explore the benefits, and access all the resources you need to get started.

If you have any questions about our new digital home, please let us know.

What to expect and what you need to do

Over the next six months we’ll be phasing in the components of our new digital home, and will keep you informed at each stage. We’re not expecting the system to work perfectly from day one – we want feedback from members at every stage. This phased approach allows us to test, act on feedback and improve the system.

My LI shutdown: 22 October – 10 November 2025

The shutdown will mean you can’t access your account, make updates, or access content, though the website will remain accessible.

  • We encourage you to wait to make any updates to your account until after 10 November, when you can do it yourself, but please get in touch at membership@landscapeinstitute.org if you have any queries or if there is anything urgent.
  • Due to the shutdown, we will be moving all relevant information for the AGM (6 November), including notices and policies, to our website, which will remain live throughout. You can access these here.

Phase One: 10 November – 31 December 2025

  • New website
  • New member portal, My LI
  • New database and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Sign into My LI from 10 November and update your account data, including professional expertise and communication preferences. Doing this will populate the new database and will be vital for enabling us to give you the tailored support you need.
  • Spend time using the new system, once it has gone live, and feedback to us any issues or problems at newdigitalhome@landscapeinstitute.org. User guides will be available to help with this. Other opportunities to feedback, such as questionnaires and focus groups, will be shared after we go live.

Your questions answered

A new digital platform that includes a new website, new My LI platform, and a new database. In future this will also be the platform for LI Campus, Pathway and CPD monitoring and event bookings and a new communities platform.

The LI is a service-led organisation, but our current systems are not fit for purpose. Our new digital home is about delivering greater value for members and partners by improving our services and streamlining processes, enabling better and more targeted communication.

Our new digital home is about making LI communities more connected and collaborative and putting members at the heart of the LI.

Our new digital home will help us to deliver impact across each of our strategic outcomes – Essential, Expert and Inclusive – to connect people, place and nature, now and in the future.

Essential

Better decisions and opportunities: integrated, reliable data from the new CRM informs strategy, improves efficiency, and helps the LI promote the profession.

Sharper organisational focus: the digital home enables the LI to focus our resources on supporting our members.

Simpler, faster interactions: streamlining services allows members and staff to focus on delivering impact with improved communication.

Expert

Greater independence: seamless self-service for joining, renewing, booking events, volunteering, and managing CPD to support professional growth.

Personalised experiences: all members, regardless of location or career stage, will have a personal experience of the LI’s ecosystem of tools.

Enhanced member insight and engagement: the new CRM will enable the LI to respond quickly to member needs and support professional development.

Inclusive

Inclusive access: the brand, website, and user interface are all designed to make the LI more accessible to all.

Tailored communications: the ecosystem of tools connects members to the most relevant communications, events, and career opportunities.

Be part of the journey: By sharing your preferences and feedback, you will help shape tools that are easier to use, connect you with peers, and support your professional growth. Together, we’ll build a platform that works for all members.

We’ll be phasing in the components of our new digital home between now and Spring 2026, offering tailored support at every stage. We’re not expecting the system to work perfectly from day one and a phased approach allows us, to test, act on this feedback and improve the system.

Our new digital home will be the result of an ongoing process of development, testing, feedback and support. We’ll be relying on feedback from across the membership to help continuously improve the system in the months and years ahead.

Account: You will not be able to access your MyLI account. We encourage you to wait to make any updates until after 10 November, when you can do it yourself, but please get in touch at membership@landscapeinstitute.org if you have any queries or if there is anything urgent.

AGM: You can access all notices and policies relevant to the AGM (6 November) here.
