Welsh national parks attract cross-party support

This coincides with the publication of a report,Valuing Wales’ National Parks, which reveals that more than 12 million people visit the country’s national parks each year , spending a total of one billion pounds ‘on goods and services’ at Brecon Beacons, Pembrokeshire and Snowdonia.

The report, which was commissioned from Arup by National Parks Wales, the Welsh Local Government Association and Natural Resources Wales, looks at the extent to which Welsh national parks, which cover 20% of the physical landscape, impact upon the economy and the lives of people in Wales and beyond.
