Mentors and mentees on the Women in BIM mentor scheme have noticed disparities in the roles and responsibilities assigned to men and women working in BIM (Building Information Modelling) at similar levels.

Variances include the range of tasks given and deliverables expected, as well as alignment to specific job and project roles.

In response, the UK BIM Alliance is seeking to publish a report outlining the key tasks for each job and project role. The report will help employers, employees and other project team members to understand distinguish between job and project roles and understand expectations.

To inform the report, the UK BIM Alliance are asking BIM practitioners to complete a short survey. The data gathered will help them understand where there is consistency, and where roles need further clarification.

Complete the survey here.
