Frogheath Landscapes has won the Assocation of Professional Landscapers Awards 2013, for its creation of a seaside garden retreat on the Sussex Coast

Sussex cliff-top garden is double APL award winner

The garden, designed by Frogheaths Tina Vallis, was also the winner of the Overall Design and Build Award. It occupies a steeply sloping, cliff-edged site with difficult access. The client requested that the garden should incorporate improved access from the beach to the house, a hot tub with a great view, a writing room, subtle lighting around the garden, and a contemporary gas fire pit.
The judges commented that the garden does not compete with the view, but rather complements it, and looks as if it has been there the whole time.
