Landscape Institute president Sue Illman joins debate with the president and president elect of the RIBA on creating sustainable places

The event, entitled ‘The Presidential Debate – Can we create sustainable places?’ will take place at Leeds Metropolitan University on Wednesday 31 October. Martin Wainwright, northern editor of the Guardian, will chair a panel comprising Sue Illman, Stephen Hodder, president elect of the RIBA, and Colin Haylock, president of the RTPI. The three participants will address the proposition ‘Challenging times require a challenging approach to urban living.’

The event, which will take place in Rosebowl Theatre A, and starts at 6.30 pm, is open to the public, but preferential tickets, costing £9, are available to members of the three institutions. Booking is through RIBA Yorkshire .
