Yorkshire’s Olympic Stanza Stones are the subject of a programme on BBC Radio 4. Poems from the Pennines was first broadcast on 15 July and will be repeated on 21 July at 11.30pm. It is also available on BBC iPlayer.

Ilkley Literature Festival commissioned the poet Simon Armitage to work with young people in Yorkshire to leave a permanent legacy of poetry carved into stones, inspired by the heritage and landscape of the Pennine Watershed.

The documentary also features an interview with Tom Lonsdale of lead landscape architect Placecraft, who discusses the process behind deciding on the stones’ locations.
