Winners will deliver 5,000 homes
Peabody has chosen six practices of landscape architects for its major projects panel, expected to deliver 5,000 new homes across London.
The practices are Farrer Huxley, Levitt Bernstein, LUC, PRP, Shape and Turkington Martin. They will work alongside the nine architects’ practices that have been chosen in a framework that will run for three years. Schemes on which they will work include a 500-home project in Archway, north London, and the redevelopment of the Thamesmead estate in east London.
Eleven landscape practices were shortlisted and were given an exercise to provide proposals for landscape improvements on the Shadwell Estate in Tower Hamlets, east London, As a result of these submissions, the six practices that will be on the panel were selected.
They will work on projects alongside the nine architects, chosen through a different exercise. They are: Alison Brooks Architects: Feilden Clegg Bradley; Haworth Tompkins; Mecanoo; Pitman Tozer; Project Orange; Proctor and Matthews; Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands and Bell Phillips Architects.
