Sir Howard Davies will give the 36th Annual Charles Marques Memorial Lecture at the Royal Institution on 4 July
The former head of The London School Economics will share his views on the financial crisis with an audience of more than 300 people.
Organised by the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP), the lecture celebrates the life of Charles Marques (1896-1967) who founded Concrete Utilities Ltd, now known as CU Phosco Lighting, which moulded the first concrete lighting columns in Europe. The company was subsequently awarded the Queens Award for Export for manufacturing steel lighting masts used at airports and docks around the world.
The audience will be made up of ILP members, professionals from other institutions and VIP guests.
