The LI is holding its next free Green Infrastructure event in Exeter.
This continuing programme is a critical approach to landscape management, design and planning. The breakfast seminar on 10 March will look at how GI has been developed at a policy level and how it is being implemented locally.
The event is sponsored by WRAP (Waste & Resources Action programme), the government funded agency that helps individuals, businesses and local authorities to reduce waste and recycle more.
Speakers will include guests from WRAP and Natural England, who will discuss how one of the key issues in delivering green infrastructure projects is working from a range of perspectives, including masterplanning, regional development, use of recycled materials and landscape design.
“These seminars help highlight the importance of sustainable landscapes and green infrastructure to both individuals and businesses,” said Paul Lincoln, director of policy and communications at the LI. “By employing certain measures, resources can be used more effectively, saving money and helping to tackle climate change at the same time.”
