Study will look at visualisations for small-scale development
MSEnvironmental has recently been commissioned by Scottish Natural Heritage to undertake a technical study into photography and visualisations for small-scale wind energy development. It is doing the work this month and next, using technical photography, RTK GPS surveying, 3D modelling and the testing of different height data sets. A series of sites has been identified in different landscape types across Scotland.
This is an extension to SNH ‘s Visual Representation of Windfarms, December 2014, which covered larg- scale wind development.
Mike Spence CMLI is leading the project. Mike represented the Landscape Institute’s Technical Committee at the Battleby workshop leading to 2014 guidance. He has 25 years experience in technical photography, GIS, surveying and accurate 3D modelling techniques.
