Berkeley Homes picked up the inaugural award for landscape at the Sunday Times British Homes Awards for its 76 acre development in east London.
Many parts of the development, including the latest phase, The Warehouse No 1 Street, have generous courtyards with imaginative planting, bamboo and water features. Biodiversity has also been considered, with extensive use of brown roofs. The landscape architect for the project was Townshend Landscape Architects.
Sue Illman, president of the Landscape Institute, presented the trophy at the awards.
