Leeds-based practice recruits David Livesey to head up new team.
Leeds-based landscape architect re-form has opened an office in Manchester’s Northern Quarter following several project wins in the region.
The Manchester team will be headed up by new associate David Livesey, formerly of Planit-ie and EDAW.
Re-form’s North West projects include: two public spaces for Wigan town centre; New Bailey Street pocket park in Salford; a public square opposite Manchester Cathedral; public spaces at Liverpool University and Preston College; and a 20ha YMCA woodland activity and training centre on the shore of Lake Windermere.
Commenting on the expansion, David said: ‘This is a great time to boost re-form’s offering in the North West, with ambitious developments taking shape such as Allied London’s St John’s scheme in Manchester and investment in Liverpool, which is keen to encourage businesses to locate in the city. Recruiting home-grown talent will be key for us as we build our team here.’
The practice was founded in 2011 by Guy Denton and Andrew Price and now numbers 13 employees, specialising in the public realm. www.re-formlandscape.com
