Planning for a natural environment
The framework will run for the next three years and will provide advice and support to the regional teams on the impact of planning for new development on the natural environment.
Responses to Local Development Framework and Regional Spatial Strategy consultations and related assessments will be provided, as well as advice on specific planning applications for major developments on Natural England’s behalf. The practice will be providing the service through a framework contract and leading a team that includes project partners Biodiversity by Design and Enfusion.
NPA director Trevor Turpin said: “This is a great opportunity to contribute to decision making for Natural England. This will utilise our team’s recognised expertise in environmental planning, green infrastructure, EIA, SEA, HRA, landscape and ecological assessment, and historic landscape advice, to assist with Natural England’s responses to important planning consultations.”
