Planit Intelligent Environments (Planit-IE) has become a limited liability partnership.
The move is designed to enable the staff and skills of its sister company Virtual Planit, which produces CGI and visuals, ‘to become part of the wider creative place-making offer’.
The new structure sees Ed Lister and Pete Swift becoming joint managing partners, with Lindsay Humblet and Andy Roberts becoming partners, alongside Richard Line, formerly a director of Virtual Planit.
‘This is an exciting and dynamic time for us and we have high expectations for 2014,’ says Lister. ‘Aside from great projects at Airport City (Manchester), Liverpool Waters and the continuing transformation of East Manchester, our busy London studio is moving at the end of the month to Bowling Green Lane in Clerkenwell – where we will share a street with Zaha Hadid, Wilkinson Eyre Architects and Ian Simpson.’
The company is also working on major projects in Battersea and East London, as well as leading the Discovery Park Enterprise Zone masterplan in Kent, and has recently been appointed by The Cooperative Estates, following an OJEU open tender, to design and oversee delivery of the streets and squares within the final two phases of its NOMA Estate in Manchester City Centre.
