Vacancies exist for two new members
The Landscape Institute is currently seeking two members to join its Policy and Communications Committee to help shape its policy and to develop and implement its communications plan.
We are particularly keen to recruit passionate, articulate professionals, including licentiates or recently chartered members, and we are looking for expertise in one or more of the following areas:
– public health
Experience of speaking and writing, and a willingness to do so on behalf of the LI, is essential.
As a professional body and educational charity, the LI works to protect, conserve and enhance the natural and built environment for the public benefit. The Committee consists of LI members and is directly supported by the Director of Policy and Communications and the Policy and Public Affairs Manager.
The main responsibilities of the Committee are leading on the direction and content of the LI’s position statements, leading the development of LI responses to public policy consultations, and representing the organisation at external events such as conferences, workshops and seminars.
The Committee meets three or four times per year and expenses to and from the meetings are covered.

Please download and complete the short application from the Committee page , and include a CV and short statement (no more than 500 words) describing how you would contribute to the work of the PCC, particularly referencing the three key policy themes together with your writing skills and confidence at public speaking.
