Park at heart of business and leisure district
Peel Land & Property has unveiled proposals for a new business and leisure district in Liverpool’s historic dockland, with a new 17ac park at its heart.
The Central Docks neighbourhood consists of eight plots earmarked for offices, mixed-used, and waterfront apartments, many with green roofs. Towers could be built up to 44 storeys high. Alongside the park will a public piazza, which could be used as an outdoor cinema/performance area.
Central Docks is part of the £5bn, 50ac Liverpool Waters scheme, the largest regeneration project in the city’s history, stretching along 2.3km of waterfront.
