A new working group will explore new gateways into licentiate LI membership

This role is now closed. Find out about other volunteering opportunities on the new LI volunteer portal.

The LI is looking for up to six members to join a working group that will explore new routes to licentiate membership.

There is a strong desire among LI members to broaden and diversify the membership. The LI is committed to this aim, and views licentiate membership as a gateway into an inclusive profession.

The new working group, chaired by Education and Membership Committee Representative Vanessa Ross CMLI, will assess how to broaden access to licentiate membership. Members will research different areas and topics and meet infrequently to share insight, with a view to formalising its approach to broadening the membership by February 2018.

  1. Hi LI, as a recent new affiliate member who represents a manufacturer called Aubrilam I would certainly like a find a way to meet more Landscape Architects & network. From a manufactures viewpoint, it can be very hard to gain access to Landscape Architects to promote our products & discuss projects. I appreciate that everyone is very busy but if there was a process agreeable to everyone that can be mutually beneficial to all parties this would be welcome.
