Professor Jacquie Burgess to give lecture at Architectural Association in London

Landscape Research Group to hold lecture on valuing wetlands

The Landscape Research Group is to give its fourth annual lecture at the Architectural Association in London on Thursday 4 December.

Given by Professor Jacquie Burgess, emeritus professor of Geography at the University of East Anglia and vice-chairman of the Broads Association, it will have as its title 'Valuing Wetlands and Wetland Values'.

The lecture will explore the impact of valuing the benefits that wetlands provide through an ecosystems services approach. It will discuss whether this is more likely than other approaches to help land owners and managers, policy makers and the public to understand the importance of conserving what remains of our lowland wetlands.

The lecture starts at 18.30. Find more details here.
