Landscape Institute issues new guidance on BIM

The two practice notes deal with software considerations for those engaging with BIM, and the implications for professional indemnity insurance. Both are available on the LI’s BIM Open Project area.

The next major stage in BIM adoption will begin this month when all of the built environment professions start aligning their work stages to a single common plan of work so they can all deliver client information at the same time.

All the professions will also soon have to deliver client information in the same format, and in the next few weeks the LI expects to release draft COBie spreadsheets for sharing information about landscape works.
