Landscape architects appointed for Olympic Park legacy

James Corner Field Operations, which has recently opened an office in London, will work on the southern hub, with Arup as landscape engineer ( the same role that it fulfilled on the original park) and Make as architect. On the northern hub, the landscape architect will be Land Use Consultants, working with Erect Architecture.

Phil Askew, who is project sponsor for parklands and public realm at the London Legacy Development Corporation, said, ‘Building the park hubs is a key element of the transformation overlay of the park, to provide cafes, toilets and play areas. The northern hub has been thought of largely as an ecological play area. The southern hub is more of a 21st Century pleasure gardens, very much landscape-led.’
