LDA Design strengthens team with new appointment
LDA Design has further strengthened its development and regeneration team with the appointment of Justine Leach, who has joined the practice as urban design director.
Justine is an urban designer and landscape architect with over 25 years' experience delivering advice on housing, large scale regeneration, and public space projects to public and private clients and local government. As an independent consultant, she has also devised visions, briefs and development processes for organisations in both the UK and in Asia.
She has consulted on a range of projects, most recently working in the private residential development sector on the south Bath urban extension and also on a comprehensively planned urban extension to North Hereford, which meets high design and sustainability standards. Justine also maintains links with the house-building industry through a national role with Building for Life 12, and is an assessor for the regional Built for Life awards.
As a landscape architect, she has also acquired considerable experience in landscape masterplanning and urban public space design, which includes the public realm of housing developments.
As a Southwest and national CABE panel member, Justine regularly gives presentations as part of her work, and over the last five years she has run more than 50 urban design skills-training workshops for district and parish councillors, residents and local government officers involved in housing delivery and regeneration.
