Pre-election opportunity to question politicians

Jonathan Dimbleby chairs environmental debate

The British Ecological Society (BES) is hosting a pre-election debate on the environment policies of the UK’s major political parties, chaired by Jonathan Dimbleby.

Supported by the Sibthorp Trust and the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, ‘People, Politics and the Planet – Any Questions?’ will take place at 6.30pm on 9 March, at The Light, Euston Road, London.

Confirmed panellists include: Lord de Mauley, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Natural Environment and Science; Barry Gardiner, shadow minister for the Natural Environment; the Liberal Democrats’ environment spokesperson Baroness Parminter; and Natalie Bennett, Green, Party leader and parliamentary candidate for Holborn and St. Pancras.
