Annual 5km London race in aid of Architects Benevolent Society
Start limbering up for the annual London Chicken Run, in which architects, landscape architects, and associated professions race across town to raise money for the Architects Benevolent Society (ABS).
The run takes place on Saturday 23 July, starting at Tate Modern and finishing at the offices of organisers Pollard Thomas Edwards Architects on the Regent’s Canal in Islington.
Entrance is £20, or £100 for a team of six. Alternatively, non-runners can take part by volunteering as marshals. Last year’s race raised £4,000 for ABS.
The event will be followed by a prizegiving and celebration at PTE, with a barbeque and music by DJ Elliot Patterson.
The ABS is a charity supporting the wider architectural profession and their families in times of need – such as illness, unemployment, bereavement or other personal difficulty. It offers confidential advice as well as financial assistance. To find out more visit the ABS website
