The High Streets Task Force has launched a range of online resources, starting with a five-part webinar series, as it also begins direct support for the reopening and recovery of high streets across England
The High Streets Task Force has opened for business today, launching a number of free resources focused on helping towns and town centres respond to the strain of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The High Streets Task Force is a consortium of organisations helping revitalise England’s high streets and town centres by providing training, guidance and data to the people who make them. The LI is one of four professional bodies supporting the programme.
‘The Coronavirus crisis is forcing us to think and act differently,’ said Task Force Executive Director Simon Quin. ‘…From a position of great uncertainty, [launching] the Framework and Task Force resources immediately made sense. Their help is incredibly valuable in plotting a course for the crisis recovery and longer-term transformation of our high streets.
‘Our website has far more content than you may have seen in the past. We now have online training open to everyone. Please explore this and our other resources.
‘Thanks are due to all our Task Force partners and MHCLG for making this support available.’
The new webinar series begins on Friday 19 June with Transformation Routemap. We know that returning to the ‘old normal’ is not a recipe for long-term success, so how should high streets think about transformation?
