An international competition is calling for ideas for the future development of Helsinki’s historic South Harbour.

Helsinki harbour calls for ideas that float

The competition is part of the World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 programme and calls for entrants to create a comprehensive ideas plan covering the entire 23-ha passenger port.

The bay is the largest passenger harbour in Finland, with more than five million passengers travelling through it every year.
