Gillespies has released designs for roof terraces above Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners’ £135 million Extension to the British Museum.

Gillespies design roof terraces for British Museum extension

The scheme features a naturalistic planting style that Gillespies said is intended to create a “lively contrast” with the new building scheduled to be finished in late 2013. The selected trees, grasses and seasonal plants will visually soften the setting of the new building and improve local biodiversity, while the new roof scape will provide additional wildlife habitat.
