Launched at Ecobuild last week, the Landscape Institute’s new publication ‘Landscape Architecture – A guide for clients’, is now available to members
The new Guide for Clients will be sent out to all registered practices next week and individual members are invited to request a copy at firstname.lastname@example.org. A PDF version will also be available to download from the website.
Containing 38 exemplar projects encompassing housing, regeneration, culture, infrastructure, energy, and health, the Guide highlights the work of landscape architects when it comes to regenerating communities, strengthening social cohesion and creating places of beauty.
The launch at Ecobuild culminated in an afternoon showcase of three of London’s most exciting development projects. Neil Mattinson FLI, LDA Design, whose work is featured in the Guide, gave an excellent preview of the Olympic Park.
This was preceded by thrilling talks by Tot Brill, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and Edward Jones, Dixon Jones, on Exhibition Road, and a look at one of central London’s most exciting new projects – Granary Square in front of the new University of the Arts by Townshend Landscape Architects and Argent Group.
