Rain Garden that won Chelsea Gold relocates to Vauxhall

First phase of Vauxhall Missing Link opens

A rain garden that won a Gold at Chelsea last year opens on 15 May, forming the first part of the Vauxhall Missing Link.

Hugo Bugg's RBC Waterscape Garden made him, at 27 years old, the youngest ever winner at Chelsea when his show garden took Gold last year. Now, in keeping with his wish that it should be 'publicly accessible and show some of the sustainable re-use of water ideas in the public realm', it has been recreated in Vauxhall, south London.

It forms the first completed part of the Vauxhall Missing Link green route designed by J & L Gibbons with Erect Architecture, who were appointed following a competition.
