The Federation of German Landscape Architects (bdla) is holding its annual conference ‘planerforum’ in London this year.

Titled ‘London Calling’, planerforum is also open to members of the Landscape Institute who are offered a 50 per cent discount on the conference fee.

There are two options for registration for the conference, which will be conducted in English. LI members are invited either to register for the full conference from 2–5 June or join in at a get-together with German colleagues on the evening of Friday 3 June.

This event will feature guided walks through the City of London and along the River Thames, a field trip to Greenwich as well as lectures and discussions on topics such as investment, the Olympic Parks and urban and green space planning. There will also be a panel discussion featuring the presidents of both the Landscape Institute and the BDLA.

The registration fee to attend the full event is 210 euros. The registration fee also includes lunch and the evening get-togethers on 2 and 3 June as well as a prepaid Oyster Card for public transport.

LI members are invited to the final plenary and a get-together on Friday 3 June from 4-8 pm free of charge. The get together will take place at the Landscape Institute’s offices in Central London .
