Writer Ken Worpole and photographer Jason Orton have started a blog called New English Landscape
It is the title of a book on which they are working, and grows out of their 10 years of collaborating on documenting the landscape and coastlines of Essex, particular the edgelands and unloved places.
As one would expect from this duo, there is some quirky writing and moody photographs that bring a touch of romance to previously unloved places. The design is elegantly understated and it is worth clicking on the photographs to enlarge them. It leaves you wanting more – which, with a book on the cards, is presumably the intention. See the blog here.
