There’s still time to fill in the Big SuDS Survey, run by Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) and supported by the LI, in order to assist the government review of sustainable drainage in England.
Professionals working in flooding, development, planning, design or drainage are encouraged to submit practical examples of the use of SuDS as well as their opinions on how policy could be best managed. CIWEM believes there is currently a lack of data in this area.
Questions are largely concerned with drivers and barriers on the uptake of SuDS, planning, quality, evaluating costs and benefits, SuDS standards and skills. Participants are also invited to upload their own SuDS case studies.
The survey is supported by the LI, ICE, RIBA, RTPI, WWT and Susdrain. The outcome will be used as evidence to government as part of the ongoing flooding reviews.
Complete the survey before the end of July.
