Have your say about your professional body

Dont miss your chance to vote in the EGM

Please note the change of date: The EGM will now take place on 14th July, 6-8pm

The deadline for returning proxy forms to the Landscape Institute is now 5pm, 7th July 2015

Do you care about the future direction of the Institute? An Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) is to be held on the 14th July 2015. Now is your chance to have your say on making your professional body broader and more democratic.

The Landscape Institute, now in its 85th year, exists to support its members and promote the benefits of good landscape design, management and planning.

In recent years the Institute has made great strides. Our activities and recognition have increased and through greater collaborative working there is now wide interest in our policies and advice. However, we can only achieve our vision if the Institute’s governance is fit for the challenges we face in the years ahead. It is now time to update our governance arrangements.

You may already have received your copy of the summer journal. This includes a booklet which lays out the important changes to the Institute that we are asking all members to vote on. The Board’s recommendation is that members vote for each motion.

Once you have read the booklet, here’s what you need to do:

EITHER vote in person at the EGM on 14th July (6-8pm at Charles Darwin House, 12 Roger Street, London WC1N 2JU) OR complete the proxy voting form included with the booklet.

Alternatively, you can either nominate the Chair of the EGM to cast your proxy for you or you can give your proxy to another Chartered member who will be attending the EGM.

Deadline for returning proxy forms to the Landscape Institute: 5pm, 7th July 2015

In the spirit of making sure the Institute is as democratic as it can be, we are keen that voting reflect the wishes of as large a group of members as possible, so we urge you to vote.
