Founder steps down after 40 years
Dominic Watkins has taken over as managing director of landscape architecture and environmental planning practice Chris Blandford Associates (CBA). He has been at the firm for the past 22 years, including 11 years as a board director.
Blandford, who set up the company in 1977, has stepped down after four decades at the helm. He has also relinquished primary ownership of the business in order that all the limited company’s shares can now be held by the CBA trust.
As well as his new role as president of World Heritage UK, Blandford will continue to undertake selected consultancy work for CBA as a senior advisor. He said, ‘Dominic has been a board member alongside me for 11 years and I have considerable admiration for him. I have every confidence Dominic will successfully lead the company in the forthcoming years.’
Liz Antonia has also stepped down as a board director and trustee, but will continue to provide business administration support for the practice.
