The 2017 CPD year is at an end, and the LI is encouraging its members to finalise their CPD forms for 2017 and reflect on their learning over the past 12 months.
Next Monday (22 January), the LI will call on 3% of its corporate membership – selected at random – to review their CPD records for the past year. Records are due for submission by Friday 16 February.
A core responsibility of every professional is the commitment to lifelong learning. It’s our duty to monitor your compliance with the minimum requirement of 25 hours’ CPD per year – this helps underpin our Royal Charter and builds public confidence in your profession. But CPD is about much more than compliance.
In a fast-changing world, landscape practitioners need to keep up to date. From digital practice to health and well-being, accounting for natural capital to inclusive design, there are many emergent and developing areas of practice to learn about. An upcoming data protection overhaul across Europe, a recently unveiled 25 Year Environment Plan, the new Well-being of Future Generations Act in Wales, and new planning law for Scotland, mean requirements for our firms and our members are changing.
