For those wanting to know more about SuDS (sustainable drainage systems), CIRIA is running two training courses in London this month.
SuDS Foundation, on 10 September, and Designing SuDS (24-25 September) will, CIRIA says, help those wanting to plan, design, evaluate and manage sustainable drainage in line with good practice, enabling them to understand what makes a successful scheme.
CIRIA adds that its SuDS training will enable attendees to: keep up to date with current legislation; learn about the latest design concepts; understand key principles, aims and how to apply the SuDS approach using real case studies; share experiences and knowledge with expert trainers and other delegates; obtain CPD accreditation; learn how to design robust, low-maintenance and safe SuDS; and how to design SuDS for difficult sites such as high-density housing or contaminated land.
