Changes for EDAW and AMA
“EDAW has been a member of AECOM since 2005,” said EDAW President Jason Prior. “Now we’re developing closer integration with our colleagues in order to better address the challenges of our time. As part of the new AECOM, we are able to draw from an extraordinary breadth of experience and expertise to address land-based and community challenges as we face an era of climate change, urbanization, and resource scarcity.”
Elsewhere in the UK landscape industry, Capita Symonds has announced the acquisition of town planning and urban design consultants Andrew Martin Associates (AMA) for an undisclosed sum.
AMA – with offices in London, Chelmsford and Nottingham – employs 40 chartered town planners, urban designers, landscape designers and environmental planners. The firm offers advice on a wide range of planning, development, regeneration and environmental matters. Its recent projects include the planning and urban design of the development of a new army garrison and subsequent redevelopment of surplus Ministry of Defence land at Colchester Garrison in Essex.
