The Bishop Review, which investigates the systems of design support in England, is published on Tuesday 18 October – and LI members are being encouraged join in the debate
The merger of the Design Council and CABE, coupled with legislative changes to the planning system, provides a timely opportunity to rethink how best to support good design in the country.
The review, which was commissioned by the Design Council and undertaken by Peter Bishop, Chair of the Architecture Centre Network and former Director of Design for London, surveyed more than 450 organisations and individuals over a six-month period.
The discussions will continue on Tuesday 18 October, when Peter Bishop, David Kester (chief executive of the Design Council CABE) and Paul Finch (chair of the Design Council CABE) host an online debate. This will take place from 3.30-4.30pm and can be accessed through the Design Council website, where you can post your comments.
