The awards scheme, organised by Inside Housing magazine and the Chartered Institute of Housing, focuses on the best ‘green’ social housing projects constructed in the UK.

Both HTA and PRP are finalists in the ‘Sustainable social housing construction consultancy of the year’ category, while HTA’s Chalcot Estate scheme in north London is in the running for ‘Sustainable social housing refurbishment project of the year’. Its Campbell Square Eco Park in Milton Keynes, which was designed with AECOM, is shortlisted for Low energy social housing project of the year.

Elsewhere, Levitt Bernstein Associates is one of the finalists in the Most sustainable large social housing project category for Granville New Homes, South Kilburn.

The Abbey Orchard estate, located near Westminster Abbey, has been shortlisted in the Transformation category. Farrer Huxley Associates’ major external refurbishment scheme has transformed previously tarmacked courtyards with the addition of a new garden, playground, ballcourt, and a bin store/recycling facility.

The trophies will be presented at an awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in London’s Park Lane on 23 October.
