Attend a study day in London on Sanderson Miller

Birkbeck Garden History Group is running a study day on Saturday 12 March entiteled 'Sanderson Miller and the Amateur Designers'.

2016 marks the tercentenary of the birth of Sanderson Miller, as it does for ‘Capability Brown’.  Sanderson Miller was an English pioneer of Gothick architecture and rococo landscape design, especially known for the evocative mock ruined castles he created at Hagley and Wimpole.  From celebrating Miller this study day will go on to examine important amateur contemporaries of Brown who had their own individual vision of creating gardens.

The course will take place at Bloomsbury Baptist Church and costs £30 for non-members. To find out more, email diana.renard@virgin.net
