Arit Anderson has been confirmed as the first special guest for this year’s LI Awards ceremony.

After joining us as a speaker at the #LI90 launch event at RHS Chelsea in May, Arit will be stepping into the role of main presenter for the ceremony in November. (Following Ebs Akintade’s terrific turn at last year’s Awards.)

An award-winning garden designer and popular television presenter, Arit’s career in garden design has been varied and well decorated.

Following a lengthy career in fashion, creative events, and holistic therapies, Arit moved into horticulture upon finding that the disciplines seamlessly converged when working in her own garden. This newfound passion drove Arit to explore the unique relationships between her love of plants, people and place.

While studying gardening at Capel Manor College, Arit entered and won the Student Design category at RHS Chelsea 2013; and after attaining her diploma in Garden Design in 2016, she took the gold medal in the Conceptual Category at RHS Hampton Court in the same year.

Arit is well known for her work as a presenter on BBC Gardener’s World, and more recently, BBC One’s Garden Rescue, appearing alongside Charlie Dimmock and the Rich Brothers.

With a passion for environmental sensitivity, Arit’s position as both a presenter and writer for national publications has enabled her to publicise issues around the future of gardening in the context of a climate and biodiversity crisis, as well as propose solutions.

We are delighted to welcome Arit to our awards line-up this year. We still have more surprises up our sleeve, so keep an eye out for further announcements!

Our LI Awards 2019 ceremony, sponsored by Hardscape, is set to be our biggest, boldest and most glamorous celebration yet. Don’t miss out on your seat at the landscape event of the year.
