Antonia Glyde appointed Chair of Technical Review Board
Antonia has had a wide and varied career, with more than 30 years experience in landscape design, assessment and management.
She has worked for local authorities, in private practice and in central government as a landscape architect and environmental specialist. Most recently she was responsible for environmental research and standards for the Highways Agency. She worked in a European context on developing climate change research and mitigation strategies.
In her role as Chair of the Technical Review Board, Glyde will be responsible for developing and reviewing best practice guidance and research across the LI.
Over the next five years, she will look to tap into the vast pool of technical expertise that LI members offer with a view to developing a comprehensive knowledge base that will be available to all Institute members.
Commenting on her appointment, Glyde said: “I have a wide knowledge of environmental legislation, policy and practice and some influence in government and industry. I hope to use my knowledge and skills to assist the Landscape Institute in fulfilling its technical role and advancing its role in society.”
