An update by our Education Manager for Higher Education and Apprenticeships, Kelli Cochran-Sharp, on the current state of Landscape Apprenticeships.
The Landscape Institute (LI) acknowledges the growing interest in both the Level 7 Chartered Landscape Professional Apprenticeship and the Level 3 Landscape Technician Apprenticeship as valuable alternative pathways into the profession. We are committed to expanding access to careers in landscape and are actively collaborating with education providers to develop and enhance these apprenticeship programmes.
Currently, no Higher Education institutions are offering the Level 7 Chartered Landscape Professional Apprenticeship. Due to internal processes required to develop and approve new apprenticeship programmes in education, the earliest anticipated launch is Autumn 2026.
The Level 3 Landscape Technician Apprenticeship is available at Capel Manor College in London. The LI is working closely with this institution to support future cohort intakes and is exploring opportunities to expand the apprenticeship in collaboration with additional education providers across the UK in the coming academic years.
We will continue to provide updates on the progress of these initiatives. For any questions or further information, please contact, Kelli Cochran-Sharp – Education Manager for Higher Education and Apprenticeships, at apprenticeships@landscapeinstitute.org
