A report of the Landscape Institute Wales branch 2021 annual general meeting (AGM), held online on Tuesday 20 April

    The LI Wales branch 2021 AGM took place on Tuesday 20 April, with up to 32 participants attending remotely via Zoom.

    Guest speakers Dr Keren Jones, LI Honorary Secretary and Ben Brown, LI Head of Policy and Insight, gave presentations on the LI’s Greener Recovery and Climate and Biodiversity Action Plan, as well as updates from the business year.

    Jen Heal, from Design Commission for Wales, gave an excellent presentation on the Placemaking Wales Charter.

    Attendees saw report presentations from the acting chair and branch secretary, treasurer, and branch representative, as well as updates from the IT and social media and Pathway to Chartership coordinators.

    Members nominated and voting online and during the AGM to fill the following roles on the branch committee:

    • Chair – Louise Ball
    • Secretary – Olwen Maidment
    • Treasurer – Lee Morris
    • Branch Representative – Emma Hayes
    • Pathway to Chartership Coordinator – Steve Mann
    • Committee Members – Christofer Smith, Mary O’Connor and Gerry Donovan

    Since the AGM, Kate Richards has taken up the role of IT and Social Media Coordinator.
