From Catherine Barratt, Managing Director, Furnitubes: I am delighted to be speaking at the Landscape Institute’s Inclusive Environments CPD conference this year and looking forward to seeing you all and discussing why inclusivity is so important in our communities now especially, more than ever.

As managing director of a brand that thrives on creating beautiful outdoor spaces, being part of this event was a no-brainer as social inclusivity is at the forefront of what we do. Furnitubes is all about bringing people together outside safely, we’re passionate about building environments and we take joy in creating spaces that everyone of all ages and from all walks of life can enjoy together.

We’ve been hard at work over the last year perfecting our modular solutions – a series of interchangeable products that can be combined in any number of ways, along with a choice of finishes and accessories. Join me for an interactive session where I will take you on a journey through modular design and how you can use it to cultivate inclusive outdoor spaces with set modules.

At the end of the session, you will understand and be able to put in to practice:

    • The benefits of modularity vs traditional linear seating. Gain a full understanding of modular solutions and how they are giving landscape architects everywhere the freedom to create unique visions using standardised pieces.
    • The usage of accessories to broaden the reach and inclusivity of your scheme. With the ability to add extras like benches, armrests and backrests at any point, learn why taking advantage of retro-fitting is a great way to diversify your project.
    • How to utilise the right finishes and materials to drive broader inclusivity. Having more creative freedom is important, see examples and gain knowledge on utilising various materials and finishes across a scheme.

Registration for the LI Inclusive Environments CPD Event is open, join here.
