An opportunity has arisen at an established practice within Parkwood Consultancy Services located in Stratford-upon-Avon. We have a client base in residential, commercial and leisure industries and regular work with local planning authorities, private developers and Parkwood Group affiliates.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual with a highly positive outlook, who is looking to make a contribution to the development of the department. Candidates should have a clear focus on quality and detail in all aspects of work, and feel comfortable working on projects as part of a larger team of professionals.
Candidates will need to demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD software and should also be trained in the application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software.
About the role:
Applicants should be qualified Chartered Landscape Architects with at least five years professional experience. A good understanding of professional practice is required, including practice ethics, UK and European regulations governing landscape and the environment generally, correct procedures for specifying, tendering and monitoring sub-contractors and some knowledge of contract law.
With proven expertise and able to work independently to a high skill level, the successful applicant will be able to assist in forming relationships with existing and new clients.
Candidates should have technical expertise in specifying both hard and soft landscaping and the production of detailed drawings and specifications. They should be confident in specifying species/varieties/growing methodologies and in providing information for successful implementation to contractors. They should also have experience in on-site supervision of specified works.
It is essential that candidates can demonstrate a track record of successful commissions on a variety of landscape design schemes, and should show an innovative approach towards satisfying a client’s requirements. They should have some knowledge and experience in sustainable design solutions, particularly in the use of BREEAM, SUDs and the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments.
Salary and Conditions
The annual salary offered for the post will be dependent upon skills and experience, but is likely to be within the following range:
Senior Chartered Landscape Architect: £36,000 - £45,000
Successful candidates will be required to serve a probationary period.
