Our Landscape Architect post is a ‘career grade’ position which will offer a suitably qualified applicant the opportunity to grow in the role and progress through the grading structure. Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification for further details. Appropriate training will be provided.
As part of your job, you will help us prepare the Local Development Framework, provide landscape advice on planning applications, help design enhancement schemes, and be involved in developing countryside and heritage projects. You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team including urban design, planning policy, housing enabling, community planning and other experts, working in partnership with a range of interest groups and organisations.
We are a Beacon Council for the quality of the built environment, and place great emphasis on continually improving the quality of new development.
We have a rich landscape of historic market towns and villages, hillforts, chalk downland, rolling vales, wooded hills and river valleys. The district is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and includes the dramatic Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
