Senior Landscape Officer
37 hours per week
Plough Lane, Hereford

You will be working as part of a team to conserve Herefordshire’s natural environment, both its countryside and its many attractive settlements. The County possesses, amongst others, two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in addition to a diverse range of landscapes that have been defined through a Landscape Character Assessment.
You should have a relevant degree or similar qualification and preferably be eligible to apply for membership of a professional association. Experience of local authority landscape work should include working within the planning framework and knowledge of tree preservation. Ability to analyse landscape schemes in terms of the effectiveness and practicality is essential. You should be a good communicator and have some in negotiating experience.
Interview date: Week commencing 22nd March 2010.
