Our volunteers allow for branches to support the landscape profession at the local level, including promoting the profession and engaging with students, building relationships across the region with Registered Practices and other key organisations, and helping the LI stay current on local initiatives while influencing.
AGM update
Nominations have been received and the 2024/25 Branch Committees are being confirmed; with members being invited to vote in those regions with contested seats. Thanks to all those who made nominations and to the members who will be serving. The new committee will be confirmed following the AGM which takes place later in April. There are still several vacancies on the LI North East Committee; anyone interested in being involved please contact the Branch.
The LI Staff would like to convey their thanks to those Committee members who will be standing down from active involvement; some with many years of loyal service. We are grateful to them for the commitment and support given in providing events, development opportunities and generally providing a local member service.
As we enter the new business year for the Landscape Institute, we envisage an exciting and progressive period for the organisation; with the digital transformation project coming to fruition, and with staff and members working together to create a more agile and effective local member network, following the Branch Review.
The LI North East AGM will take place online on Friday 26 April at 1300hrs. Carolin Göhler, President Elect, will also be joining us to share a presentation of achievements and future vision.
